Super Accurate Weather Prediction Skills

Weatherpeople are usually pretty good at their jobs but sometimes, and by sometimes I mean pretty damn often, they say it "may rain" or it "might be windy" and what happens is "a downpour like Noah's flood" and "the wind will more or less be like you're caught in the tornado." So yeah, I would like to know if a sweatshirt will be appropriate or if I need an ark to get to class in.
Also this way I would never go driving when it is going to snow.
